What is it about ?

Created by WIDE (Women in digital Empowerment) as part of the Erasmus+ project, Geeks4Education, the Convergent Deck-Building game is a card game based on issues around the lack of representation of Women in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering and Mathematics). It aims to expose young people to female role models in the scientific and digital fields, their research, their work and their discoveries to encourage them to explore STEM fields or topics after playing the game.

The Convergent Deck-Building is downloadable for free once registered to the mook. The set consists of 132 cards. There are 7 types of cards:

  • Starter (50 cards),
  • Intervention (7 cards),
  • Adversary (7 cards),
  • Science (17 cards: Role Models & Skills),
  • Technology (17 cards: Role Models & Skills),
  • Engineering (17 cards: Role Models & Skills) and
  • Math (17 cards: Role Models & Skills)

with some having "tainted" cards. The colour of the cards would help in distinction!
