Content
What is it about ?
Developed by Sam Killermann and published on its platform, Pronounced Metrosexual, in 2011, this tool has subsequently undergone translation and modification. Its purpose is to provide education and promote awareness about gender. It can be utilized in various ways, depending on the specific activity and target audience. Additionally, a Unicorn version is also available. Students will gain an understanding of the distinction between gender and sexuality. They will be able to articulate the differences between biological sex, gender identity, gender expression, and attraction. Moreover, they will comprehend the importance and benefits of acknowledging these distinct components within gender.
How to use it ?
Engage in the examination of the genderbread person, starting with the completion of the designated spaces and providing concise definitions for the associated terms. Afterwards, emphasize the distinct components that comprise gender. This can be achieved either by allowing participants to personally contemplate and introspect (as exemplified in our provided lecture), or by exploring hypothetical scenarios. Create an environment that encourages queries and facilitates discussion regarding the presented models.
