The Fantastic Schoolbag
The Fantastic Schoolbag plugin helps pupils with dyspraxia making working with the computer easier, which is a must at school. On the teacher's side, they can adapt their material more easily.

What is it about ?
The OpenOffice and Word extension offers a number of features to make texts more accessible -font choice, line spacing, words spacing, highlighting, vocal reading... Also, the extension allows texts' vocal reading from words processors.
How to use it ?
Three versions are available according to better meet the user's needs :
The primary version includes the following bars: Read, Maths, Write and Table in order to make texts and tables more accessible, to write down operations, to bracket words or sentences, to include tables of conversion or numeration.
The secondary version includes the same features as the primary plugin as well as 3 news bars : Languages (English, German, Italian and Spanish), Chemistry and Electricity.
The adaptator version is intended to teachers : they can adapt their course material in a few clicks.
Founded in October 2010, the aim of Le Cartable Fantastique -Fantastic Schoolbag- association is to "foster school inclusion for disabled pupils, especially children with dyspraxia". The website was created by Caroline Huron, a cognitive science researcher at INSERM and a member of the Conseil Scientifique de l'Education Nationale.
