Guess the scientist
A variation of the famous "Guess Who?" board game where students must find well-known and less-known scientists.
Content
What is it about ?
In pairs or in teams find your mystery scientist using visual clues and yes or no questions.
The teacher will give each player a mystery scientist card. Players will have a board and a summary sheet to help them find their mystery scientist as quickly as possible. Each tour, a player can ask one question. The first player to find the name of their mystery scientist wins, but the game ends when all the players have found theirs.
How to use it ?
This activity is a first step to recognise scientists who are not as popular as celebrities. Once the students gained knowledge of the scientist’s appearance, they can go further and research more about their areas of expertise, findings, achievment… so that they can present them to the class.
